Ok it's been since March since I have posted. I have no excuse except laziness. I was off all summer and never even logged onto the blog. Sorry! Soooo instead of trying to post every little thing since March I'll just do a quick overview with a few pictures from the last months and make a promise I will try to do better.

March: Besides the Gala I got to spend a great long weekend with Dad over Easter. While I'm sorry mom wasn't able to join him and Logan had to work, it was fun to have Dad all to myself. We hung out, did some projects, and ate lots of fries, ice cream cake, and Cinnabons. Oh and Dad got to help push a car in the funeral home parking lot while dressed for church and go on a house call with Logan. Never a dull moment when he visits!

April: For the end of my spring break we headed to Colonial Williamsburg for an overnight. We had perfect weather and enjoyed being tourists in a new place. It's a really neat place and they do a great job of reenacting history. Logan was in all his glory! Besides that we started out baseball season with Logan going to a couple Nats game and both of us going to a Baltimore Orioles game with the some of the guys he works with. Also started some spring yard work.

May: Don't really remember what we did in May. A lot of work for both of us along with being busy at church with clean up days and preparing for LMI event.

June: The biggest thing in June was the Lutheran Malaria Initiative event Logan and I were in charge of. We organized and ran an attic treasures (aka random junk) sale complete with food and moon bounces. It was very successful and between that and donations we were able to send almost $1500 to Lutheran World Relief to help fight malaria. I even dressed up as Marty the mosquito to drum up business. I also celebrated my 36th birthday by going out to dinner with friends. Probably my favorite part of June was my week at home with mom, dad, Sarah and the girls. I had a great time seeing my family and getting to be Aunt April in person for a week.

July: We had our first summer visitor-Mike. He took the train down from Boston and spent a jam packed weekend with us in DC. It was so great to spend time with him as a now fellow adult. Logan even took him out for a guys night. It's so neat to see how much he has grown up since I met him back when he was a little 2nd grader at Grace. Even so some things never change as Mike and I had to do all our traditions--oozy goozey calcium (aka grilled cheese), French toast, and making a disaster out of the kitchen making cookies after a crazy trip to the grocery store. We also hit downtown, Murphy's in Old Town and the newer Air and Space Museum. I'm so proud of how he has grown up and look forward to seeing where he ends up when he graduates in June.

The end of July has us traveling to Missouri for a weekend with Logan's family for his parents' 40th anniversary. We spend Thursday night/Friday with his parents in St. Louis. We did the brewery and Grant's farm and a quick visit to Dawn's new house. Then on to Lake of the Ozarks where we met up with everyone else and had a fun weekend of boating on the lake and hanging out with the family before heading home Sunday.

Our new favorite activity of this summer was going to Nationals games. We've been having lots of fun going to the baseball games with the guys from Logan's work. Their season isn't as good as last year, but even so it's been a great summer pass time.
