O.k. as you can see I have lots of time on my hands today with it being Christmas break and Logan working. :) I promised to add some of Charlie's pictures from the slumber party when I received them so here goes. These are in Steve Chabott's office, the capital and Hard Rock Cafe. I'm excited to say after knowing them for like 8 years (I think) I finally have a some group shots of my Cincinnati Family.
Another Christmas tradition we started last year was to see the National Tree, Pagent of Peace, and the Capital Tree. Last night was our night to see all of that. Here are some pictures of the National tree and the Capital tree (from a distance- we were too lazy to walk down there). I'd include Pagent of 
Peace ones, but that'd be too many. I'll just have to bring them home. 2 years ago when we first met our first date (without Jr. high youth group kids :) ) was to go see Zoo Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo. This year they had the same at the zoo out here so of course we had to go. They have a bit to learn to catch up with Cincinnati, but it was still fun to see and to remember back to when we went that first time. Here's a few pictures
of that too. Once again way too many to put them all on here so I'm just doing the highlights.
Christmas. We decided since we are both going to be here we needed a big tree and stockings. The big tree and stockings are at Logan's so I have a baby one at my house. So here some pictures of our attempt at decorating. It 's still a work in progress, but here's how it's looking so far. You'll have to check back later for the completed Christmas shot

Last weekend Logan and I headed to Iowa to have an early Christmas with his family. We were also able to attend his niece's baptism. It was fun spending time with his family and we had a great time playing with his nephews Jack & Tate. (At two months Peyton is too small to play with). Of course traveling by plane can be an interesting concept. We spent many hours in the airports, had two canceled flights, some missing luggage,and spent the night in a St. Louis hotel. It was an adventure, but makes for a good story. Here are some pictures of his family and our traveling companions waiting for the plane to leave Baltimore. (Thanks Dudley for the use of your backpack!) I'm just hoping my trip 
home is much less eventful!
They're hard to get.
This year Logan and I decided we would cook Thanksgiving for us and our friend Jen. It was actually a lot of fun and turned out great. Of course that was after many preThanksgiving phone calls to our families to figure out what we were doing and a late night Target run Wednesday night for a meat thermometer. We had a cute little turkey named Oscar (Logan likes to name things) and the "all the trimmings". We made real mashed potatoes, lots of home made stuffing, green bean cassarole, and rolls. For dessert we had the nontraditonal brownies and icecream. We decided pie was a little much to attempt on our first try. Maybe next year! Since we ate early we went for a second dessert and pina colodas at the Reavis' house. We hung out and Logan had the chance to play video games with someone who actually knows how to play-unlike me!
The Thanskgiving adventures continued extermely early Friday morning as I introduced Logan to early morning electronics shopping. We were in line at Circuit City before 4 and then headed over to Target before they opened at 6. It was a little cold, but we found some good deals. I missed the Cinnabons Dad always brought though. We forgot! After shopping we caught a quick nap before meeting Nolan, Marcus, and their girlfriends for some D.C. sightseeing. Our trip to the art museum proved how uncultured Logan and I are. We didn't understand any of it! After a fun afternoon with them we ordered pizza, watched a movie and crashed early. So as the pictures show we had a great Thanksgiving "weekend." Now Logan is back at work and I spent the day doing Christmas shopping and school work. I guess holidays can't last forever!
all the air matteresses. Logan's place looked like a maze of beds. It was fun to have everyone here and staying in sort of one place. Weather for the weekend was chilly, but overall not too bad. A little wet Friday, but we dealt. Friday we were able to see the White House and have a great tour of the Capital building thanks to Charlie's connections. I personally was quite upset to not see the dish room. I did quote the movie whenever I could, but since Logan couldn't go there was no reenacting. :) We hit the Natural History Museum and finished off with dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. Saturday we spent the day in Annapolis and then had a great time singing kareokee and playing girls vs. boys "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?" I won't reveal the results. :) Sunday was church and back downtown to see the rest of the monuments. Some even went up the Washington Monument! After a day of walking we decided ordering pizza and chilling at the apartment was the way to go. Monday we had to take them back to the airport and now today everyone (except Logan) is back at work. As with anything we all do it was an adventure and lots of fun. We did tons of walking and saw a bunch of stuff. Took tons of pictures too. I'm sharing a few of mine today and I'll add some of Charlie and Alex's when I receive them. Next year we want to push the trip back to Dec. so they can see everything decorated for Christmas. We'll see what happens, but that will for sure be an adventure!
month ago, but thought I'd share pictures from Logan's birthday celebrations. We had fancy dinner (I cooked ribs and mashed potatoes) and the
n presents and cake. This year I even managed not to melt the candles into the dessert. Saturday we went out to Mediveal Times. We had a great time and he was totally surprised (up until a couple hours before that is).
