Our Christmas Tree

Once again we got our Christmas tree at church. It was a bit of an adventure picking it out with the twins and then trying to get it into the stand around all of the knots and crooked trunk, but it worked out. Brandon and Sophia even got in on the decorating fun.

Christmas Concert

The last couple of years Logan and I have gone with friends to the Navy Band Christmas Concert at DAR Constitution Hall in D.C. It is a great night of Christmas music. This year we continued the tradition with Brandon and Sophia. So at 3 months old they took their first metro ride and went to their first concert. They did great and seemed to enjoy it. Brandon stayed awake almost  the whole time and loved the lights and music.

Erin and Jeff visit

We were lucky to have Erin and Jeff visit for a long weekend in early December. Brandon and Sophia loved their Aunt and Uncle and we enjoyed the extra help and being able to spend time with them too. We went to the consignment sale, out to a brewery (kid free thanks to some good friends staying with the twins), Annapolis for the Christmas boat parade and seafood, and just a lot of good hang out and snuggle time. We can't wait to hang out with them again. Please excuse the pictures that won't cooperate!

Zoo Lights 2014

Back in December 2005 Logan and I went on our "first date" to Zoo Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo. That night we would have never imagined that in December 2014 we would be taking our twins to Zoo lights at the National Zoo in D.C. It's amazing to think how far we have come and how much has changed from that night in Cincy.   So Sunday night we met a teacher friend and his family at the zoo. Despite the TONS of people and it getting a little chilly by the end of the night, we had a good time. We rode the carousel for the first time, enjoyed an outdoor dinner, and got our picture taken with Panda Claus.  Oh and of course saw some of the lights. With our late start we missed out on some so we might have to go back. Overall a success and I think the kids enjoyed it.

Baby Shower

Logan's work threw us a baby shower last week. It was super sweet of them and everyone was very generous. We got a lot of nice and practical gifts. Brandon and Sophia got lots of snuggles while we enjoyed good food and AMAZING chocolate cake. We are lucky to work for such great employers.
