New Car

I can't believe as I was posting updates I forgot one of the biggest ones- OUR NEW CAR! Just before Thanksgiving Logan's car finally bit the dust. We spent the next couple months (literally) car shopping in person every weekend Logan was off and online all the time. At the end of January we finally settled on a slightly used 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe. So far we are loving the car and it's fun to have more room. The first thing we did was use it to buy a bigger garbage can. We're easily amused at the Lenhart's house! :)  So here's some pictures of our new ride. Now we just have the daily discussion of who gets to drive it. So far we've been switching by the week-just to be fair. :)

Dr. Seuss Day

One of my favorite days at school is Dr. Seuss Day.  The teachers all dressed in black with red ties and Cat in the Hat hats. We also did a half hour of having other teachers come in and read to the class. It was lots of fun. My class made hats and little Cat in the Hats. We also had a treat that Logan and I made. I can't post pictures of the kids but here are the snacks we made. They are little hats.

So this year we had the Mandel Christmas in Febuary. It was great to be back at mom and dad's with the whole family. We came in Friday night and then Saturday we got up for Christmas morning. We had fun opening all of our presents and then playing with all the stuff the girls got. We spent the day making cookies with the girls, hanging out and playing Wii. Then Saturday night we went to church and then had munchies. Sunday was more baking and then lunch with the grandparents. Erin & Jeff had to head home but the rest of us had Sunday night pizza and watched Little Mermaid. Monday Sarah's family had to head home. Mom & I worked on sorting my closet and then Logan and I headed to the airport and home as well. It was great to spend the weekend with my family. It's been too long and is too long in between times. Makes me wish we all lived closer! I'll post more pictures hopefully later. In true Lenhart fashion the battery on our cammera went dead so we didnt' get to take many pictures! Go figure!

Christmas in Iowa

Well, it's March., but I'm home on a snow day/sick day so I thought I'd try to catch up while I'm stuck on the couch.  So my first catch up is Christmas in Iowa. This year Logan's boss gave him a couple extra days off and we were able to go to Iowa for actual Christmas. It was the first time I've ever gotten to be there for Christmas and the first time Logan has been back since 2005 for actual Christmas. We had a lot of fun seeing everyone including his Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and his cousins' kids. We started off with a Christmas party with his mom's side and then after they left we had our Christmas with our immediate family. It was fun to watch the kids open all their presents and then play cards and hang out with his sibblings. Christmas Eve found us playing with the kids and then off to Grandma's for Christmas with the Lenhart side. Was fun to see his cousins and Aunts and Uncles and play silly Christmas games and get to visit with Grandma. Oh and play the left right game for our white elephant gift exchange.  Christmas Day found Logan and I at his parents house for some gifts, church and then back to Grandma's for lunch and naps. :)  After that we headed back to his parents to hook up the new t.v. and watch Christmas movies.  Then on the 26th we headed back to Maryland. Now we look forward to the next time we get to go home to see everyone.
