Kitchen

Here goes another room. Like I said house was clean had to take advantage. :) Here is the kitchen. Even though I'm not really much of a cook I have to admit I'm enjoying having the bigger kitchen and all the counter space. I've even started to do more cooking. Most weeks I cook real food almost every night and we eat it at the table. New thing for both of us.

Spare Bedroom

O.k. continuing on in no particular order is the spare room or as we say the boy's room since it is where Lucky and friends sleep. It's also an important room since if anyone comes to visit they will be sleeping in here in the Princess and the Pea bed. I assure you it is very comfy! Oh and as you can see this is the one room of the house where I was allowed to be girly and have pink. So the curtains are a cream lace with pink and blue flowers. And you'll see in one picture we even have the guest towels hanging up waiting for people to visit.

Our Bedroom

Well, I had Friday off so I decided to do some house cleaning. That means you will now get to see pictures of all the rooms. I'll do each room a separate post so it's easier. I tried to do all angles so hopefully you can get a good idea of what our place looks like. Now remember Logan and I are all about the "lived in look" even when it is clean. So with that in mind here goes! These are of our bedroom. It is probably one of the biggest rooms of the house. Which is good because we have lots of stuff. Thankfully there are two closets (mine is the one door one with all the shoes and his is the double doors) so we don't have to share. Big plus when you have lots of clothes and your husband has to wear suits and ties everyday! Oh and in case the colors don't come through the curtains are brown with a cream stripe and a cool ring type fancy top. The bedspread is brown, cream, light green and light blue to match our cream, green and blue sheets. What can I say we're good! :)

Backyard

House picture posting continues-- this time it's our backyard/patio that is clean so I thought I'd post pictures of that. It's a small area but we enjoy it. We bought the swing the 2nd day we lived there. The patio set we bought on a "garage sale" sometime last month. The gas grill was Logan's big want for the house. I came home one day and found it in pieces all over the patio. We managed to put it together and have cooked on it a number of times. Logan's new specialty is to grill out kabobs. It's great to have a place to be outside and we're hoping the weather stays nice for awhile yet so we can get more use out of it.

The Living Room

O.k. by request I'm finally posting some house pictures. These are of the living room complete with new furniture and curtains. We won't even go there with the adventure the curtains have been. In case you can't tell the furniture is a really dark navy/blackish and the curtains are a green stripe. It's probably easier to see if you click on them and enlarge them. Enjoy and the next room that is clean I'll post pictures of that. You can see a little of the kitchen in the one picture. Just ignore the junk on the table please! :)

Happy Birthday Logan!

Once again I'm a bit behind on posting. Sorry! Saturday was Logan's birthday. It was a pretty uneventful day, but I think he still enjoyed it. He finally got a Saturday to sleep in and watch college football. We put up curtains in our living room and went lawn mower shopping. Then we went out for dinner, opened presents and had birthday cake. So nothing too exciting, but he was off and we got to spend the day together so that is always a great thing in our book. So here are a few pictures of the "festivities." The cake definetly tastes better than it looks. Cake decorating is not my thing! Oh and he says thanks for the presents, cards and phone calls! And I promise next time our house is clean I'll take some pictures and post those.

You May Kiss the Bride!

Let the I told you so's begin! On August 16th Logan and I were married. Yes the girl who was never going to get married and the two people who were "undefined" and "not dating" for quite sometime are now Mr. and Mrs. Logan Lenhart. The day was absolutely amazing and better then we could have ever imagined. The weather was perfect-high 70's/low 80's with sunshine and a breeze. The service was like 2 seconds long (not really but it felt that way) Pastor Eric's sermon was great and we spent most of it laughing at all of the inside jokes he put in. It was great to have someone who knows us so well do the sermon. Though he did make one little mistake. At the end of the service he forgot to say "you may kiss the bride." It became the joke of the day/reception and I assure you we made up for the mistake! :)

Then came TONS of pictures (which we are still waiting for) and the reception. We had so so much fun. I don't think Logan sat down all night. We danced, ate, talked watched the Olympics and just enjoyed spending time with everyone. Oh and shoved cake all over each other. There was no dignified cake cutting at our wedding! :) It'd be hard to pick out a favorite part of the day, but I have to admit my dance with Logan and my daddy-daughter dance rank pretty top. Logan and I danced to "Stealing Cinderella" by Chuck Wicks and dad picked out "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman. They were the perfect choices as Logan has a thing for Cinderella and said some day he was going to marry her. Dad of course had me crying before the song even started with his speech. Thanks dad! :)

So there's the day in a nut shell. It was just absolutely wonderful. Sometimes we still have to make sure it wasn't a dream. Thanks to all our friends and family who were able to come. You made the day even more special. And to our parents- thank you for a dream day. We couldn't have asked for more.

For those who are curious how married life is-- it's good. Though we've been running nonstop since the wedding with setting up the house, his work schedule and me starting school. Even so we're both so very happy, enjoying being together, and working at learning what it means to be husband and wife. We'll do our best at keeping you posted on what we're up to and how the house is coming along. For now here's a couple wedding pictures. I'll post more as I have time and have them.
