Happy Halloween from the Lenharts! Last night we went to early Halloween party that one of Logan's former co-workers had.  The cool thing is we got to dress up in costumes.  After much much and I mean much delibration we went as a Pirate and Pirate Beauty.  We had a great time.  Now tonight on actual Halloween Logan's working (creepy-Halloween in a funeral home!) and I'm passing out candy while grading papers.  We lead exciting lives what can I say. :)  Besides the party we did a little decorating at our house. We were lazy this year so we decided to paint a pumpkin instead of carving.  We kept with the pirate theme so now we have Perry the Pirate Pumpkin.  So here's some
pictures of us in our costumes, Perry and our outside decorations.

A Trip Home

This last weekend we took a trip back to Illinois for my cousin's wedding. It's the first time we've been home since our wedding so it was long overdue. Sarah, Kurt and the girls were there too. We had a great time hanging out and playing with Abigail and Rebekah. They are the cutest little girls ever! Of course as Aunt and Uncle we're pretty partial. :) We even got to celebrate their birthday a little bit since we can't go visit on their real birthday. We missed Erin and Jeff, but are looking forward to all of us being home together at Christmas time.

Logan's B-day

Happy 25th to Logan!  Of course he had to work so we had a 4 part birthday celebration.  We went out to eat and to a dueling piano bar in Baltimore (lots of fun) on Friday night.  Then on his actual b-day a co-worker took us out for dinner and and we had a little party in the breakroom at work. How many people can say they've gone to a party or celebrated their birthday at a funeral home? :) When he got home from work he opened presents. Then this last weekend when we were home at mom and dad's we celebrated again with them, Sarah, Kurt and the little girls. I'd like to think he had a good b-day. If nothing else I know he liked his presents and his chocolate pie was really good if I don't say so myself!

My Classroom

I'm not allowed to put up pictures of my students but I thought I'd share some of my classroom.  This year I moved over to "the other building" to teach 4th grade. I have 11 students.  They are chatty but a lot of fun.  They are my 1st graders from my first year out here so that is kind of fun.  I left the farm theme behind in 1st grade and now have a more grown up theme of hollywood. As always a lot of work to set up a room, but it's always fun when it's done.

Our 1st Anniversary

Ok so I am forever and a day behind in my posting as my sister pointed out so I'm going to try and do some catching up.  On August 16th we celebrated our one year anniversary. It's hard to believe how fast the first year went. Kinda scary!  We celebrated with dinner at The Cheesecake Factory (our first date after we moved out here) then came home and drank the bottle of champange we got on our honeymoon and tried the top of our wedding cake that we had saved.  Surprisingly enough it wasn't that bad.  So here are some pictures.

So almost a year later we finally got to go on our honeymoon. All I have to say is "it was worth the wait!!" We spent 5 days at an all inclusive resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. (Thank you mom for the great deal and recomendation) It was an amazing trip and so so much fun. It was great to have a week to be together without work or any other distractions. We enjoyed every minute and wished we had more time. Though it took us a few to get used to the language (lots of spanish) and being on "island time" with no clocks. We spent time on the beach, drank lots of pina colodas and cocco locos, took two tours (one to see the city, a plantation, and boogie board and the other to snorkel), and tried all kinds of different foods (favorite was the cocco loco drinks). We kept a "journal" so we'd remember everything we did but I'll spare you the day by day. We also took 264 pictures. I'd love to post them all but that wouldn't work so well. So here are some highlights. It was very hard to choose. BUT if you want to see all the pictures they are on Logan's facebook page and we'll be happy to show the DVD of them when we see you! :) Enjoy and if you ever want to take a great trip have mom hook you up with an all inclusive. They are SO worth it!! But be warned-you'll get addicted!! By the way be patient with the pictures. We got a new cammera right before we left so we were still learning the settings.

Waiting at BWI The boys not happy about the plastic bags.
And yes we took them on the honeymoon
