Book Signing

Last night we went to a book signing/author talk for one of our favorite authors Brad Meltzer. This is the 2nd time we have met him and I have to say he is a class act. Even though we were in the C group (which means he had already been signing for a long time) he took time to talk with us the same as when we were one of the first the last time we met him. He also took the time to comment on how he noticed how quiet and well behaved Brandon and Sophia were during his talk. They of course rocked it out and charmed everyone at Barnes and Noble even though by the time we got our books signed it was after 9pm! So now Brandon and Sophia have 3 books signed by the author. It will be fun for them as they get older. If you've never read any of his books (adult or children) check them out.

Trip to Iowa

Cousins Tate & Harper
At the end of May/beginning of June we headed to Iowa for cousin Katie's wedding and to introduce Brandon and Sophia to the rest of the family.  They were great travelers and did great meeting lots of people and being away from home. They really enjoyed their cousins and I think the feeling was pretty mutual. :)  While we were there we got the chance to swim, go to the park, watch the cousins play baseball/softball, and found out that Brandon takes after his daddy and LOVES to dance. He was having a great time dancing with Logan's cousin's little girl at the wedding. He would have danced all night if my knees would've been able to hold out! :) Hopefully we will see everyone again soon!

Brandon learns something new

Well, it was bound to happen- last night Brandon pulled himself up to standing on his chair. Oh my! Watch out world our adventurous boy is even more mobile! As you can see he's just a little proud of himself. :)

Now what is not pictured is right after I snapped this Sophia started to pull the chair away because she didn't like that we were giving him all the attention. We are in trouble!!

Mommy's birthday

On the 8th I turned 38 (yikes-getting old). Logan was off so we had a great relaxing family day of errands, naps/movie and then pizza at our favorite pizza place. We topped the day off with Dairy Queen ice cream cake.  As you can see from the videos and picture my Little Miss Sophia girl loved joining in on the cake.

Loved the frosting!

New Skills

Once again I haven't posted in forever so I'm behind. Eventually I will try to catch up with some official posts but until then I'll share some of the fun going on around here. These videos are of our new crawling skills. Brandon's was taken today and Sophia's a bit ago when she first learned. She wasn't in the mood to be taped today and she is more into her other new skill-sitting up on her own!! The other day I left the room and came back to this. She now goes from laying down/crawling to sitting all the time.  They are getting so big!!

Catching Up from 2014

So it is now after Easter 2015 and I still haven't finished Christmas and 2014. Oops! Thankfully Sarah is so much better with blogging so most of you have seen pictures. I have two crabby little ones today who just want to snuggle/sleep on the couch with me (teething is ROUGH) so I am going to try and do some catch up. After you read this one just keep scrolling down to see all the other updates and catch up to present day. Well almost- I'll do Easter next time I have a couch day. :)

As I look at these pictures I can't believe how little they look and how long ago Dec. seems. After so many years of thinking "this year we'll have Little Lenhart for Christmas" it was great to finally celebrate with not just one Little Lenhart, but two Little Lenharts.  They may have not understood Christmas this year, but for Logan and I it was so special and exciting to share it with our kids.

Logan worked Christmas Eve then he came home for dinner and pictures before we headed to some church friends' house for a "party." Then we headed to 11pm church. They rocked it out and were asleep by the end of the 1st hymn. They gave us the best Christmas gift ever by sleeping through the night. We got up and celebrated Christmas morning as our little family. By afternoon Sarah and her family joined us along with mom and dad. We had a great weekend celebrating Christmas, Dad's b-day, going downtown, and just hanging out. Unfortunately Brandon and I were both sick, but it was still fun.

So enjoy these belated pics of the twins' first Christmas!
