Ford's Theater

Ever since we moved out here we said we would take advantage of all the things to do. Well, Sunday night we had the chance to go see the musical "Civil War" at Ford's Theater. I'd have to say it ranks up there with one of my favorite things we've done so far. The musical was awesome, our seats were GREAT (3rd row from the stage on the floor) and just the idea that you're sitting where Lincoln did still amazes me. Oh and getting dressed up and spending the evening with Logan was pretty nice too. :) I have to say as much as we miss living near our families we are getting to do some awesome things. So here are some pictures of us and the theater. Of course no pictures during the show-bummer!

Spring Yard Work

Now that Logan and I are living in a house we have the opportunity(or job depending on how we look at it that day) to do yard work. So far we are enjoying it because after living in apartments we love the chance to be outside when it's nice. Our favorite things are still our swing and grill. I think Logan would cook on it every night if he could. :) So far our big projects have been raking, planting grass seed in the back yard and working on the front flower beds. We cleaned out one and planted flowers in it. The other still needs some work. We also added some fun "edging" to give it curb appeal. What can I saw we've been watching way too much HGTV! So here's some pictures. Right now you can't see the flowers because of the cool edging but hopefully when they grow you'll be able to. At least we hope they'll grow. We've just had 3 days straight of rain so that should help a lot.

A OLD one

O.k. before you read what I is below in black- I want to say it was written on March 1 and 2 BUT I never put it up. I know it's late but I just had to post these because it was such an odd thing to have all the snow. And I know that Logan and I's families are still getting snow even now in April so hey why not! But as far as Logan and I go- no snow here just lots and lots of April showers!

Well, to all of you that I kept saying "oh we don't get snow" or "once we get through February we're good," I was SO wrong. As I'm sure many of you saw on the news we got dumped with a huge snow storm yesterday. We ended up with 5-7 inches depending on where you live. I know for the midwest that's nothing but for here it's the most snow we've had since Dec. 2007. Logan's in Iowa so I was staying with a friend and got snowed in there. That was fun since we got a snow day! Yeah! Now I'm just hoping for a delay tomorrow since I don't feel like getting up early. :) Here's some pics of our snow and my awesome shoveling job.

February at the Lenhart's

Well, there's not a whole lot going on around here, but I wanted to at least show we're still around. :) Basically we're both keeping busy with work. I just celebrated the 100th day of school which means less than 80 to go. YEAH! Too bad Logan's job doesn't end for the summer too! When we're both off we've been doing some rearranging around the house and enjoying the occasional spring days that have snuck in. Finally checked out the park up the street and Logan's done some grilling out. Thankfully it's been a mild winter so we're enjoying that. So here's a few pictures of my 100's day party and our cooking out.

Sightseeing in Washington D.C.

While mom and dad were here we did some sightseeing downtown. We saw the new Capital visitor center, the Capital, the National Christmas
trees and the American History
Museum. The weather was great and it was lots of fun. In between sightseeing we worked on the Daddy do list. Dad of course did a great job and we're very thankful. Here are just a few pics because of course there are many many.

Dad's Birthday

While mom and dad were here we
helped Dad celebrate his 55th b-day. We went to the Jamaican Restaurant for pattys for lunch and for dinner we met Logan at work for California Tortilla. When Logan got home we had birthday dessert and presents. I think dad enjoyed it.

Christmas with Mom and Dad

Not only was it our first Christmas together, we got to have guests. Mom and dad flew in Christmas Day afternoon. So we got to have another Christmas and we cooked a nice Christmas dinner of pork chops with apple stuffing and green beans. Mom and dad spoiled us with new sheets and lots of other fun things.
